Epi Teles Phoros is an ongoing
project, reinterpreting Classical & Christian myths as represented
in renaissance painting. One of the main themes is the difference
in the way beauty is represented & perceived between the renaissance
period & today. Today, the renaissance 'ideal' with all its
symbolic and/or religious connotations has been replaced by a
new consumer/commodity sexualised ideal.
These images' compositions are
based around compositions such as Veronese's Feast in the
House of Levi or Titian's Venus d'Urbino.
